A healthy lifestyle is an active lifestyle.  Our program is designed to get our guests moving—dance or sports moves, heavy weight lifting or recreational, on land or water—we have something for everyone!  Whether their goal is to lose weight, lower blood pressure, increase lean tissue… or to simply feel better, their  exercise program should be enjoyable.  We offer a variety of classes to encourage them to try something new.  In an environment filled with support and motivation, we expect guests to discover activities they find challenging and fun so they can continue their spa experience at home. 

The most common classes are described and rated according to fitness level, choreography, and impact to better direct our guests to the classes that are appropriate for each guest’s goals and interest.

Beginner- For those who are just getting started or haven’t exercised for over 3 months.

Basic- Simple, easy-to-follow, more “athletic” routines.

Low – Keep one foot on the floor at all times.  Absolutely no jumping.

Intermediate- Fairly active in some type of aerobic activity (2 - 3 times per week).

Moderate– Incorporates choreographed patterns with basic movements.

Mixed - Includes some propulsion such as skips, jacks, scoots and hops.

Advanced- Active aerobically 3 or more times per week.

Complex - Intricate combinations with lots of variations.

Option - Entire class can be done low-impact but options will be shown for some higher impact moves.

Aerobic Interval
Alternates choreographed aerobic moves with muscle conditioning.

Aqua Motion at the Heartland SpaAqua Motion
Weighing only 1/10th of your body weight in water with 12 times the resistance, this is one workout that is both safe and challenging for all fitness levels.

Body Bar Body Building
Perform a surprisingly creative full body routine with a weighted bar.

Build muscle definition using dynabands and xertubes.  Great for the person “on the go”.

A fun choreographed class designed to welcome you to or back to aerobics!

Boot Camp
Challenging aerobic, agility and strengthening routine inspired by the military.

BOSU
The most versatile equipment yet!  A dynamic dome surface offers a new challenge.  Our introduction class will include moves to improve balance, muscle strength and endurance and aerobic conditioning.

Cardio Kickboxing
This workout combines basic kicks and punches with an aerobic “beat”. Quick, powerful moves make this a challenge.

Cross-Country Skiing

A seasonal outdoor activity featuring a variety of obstacles for improving balance, agility, strength and body awareness.

Pilates Matwork
