How to plan your own "Zen Garden."
"Very basically, the word ""zen"" means to meditate, to observe or to see. Zen teaches that you gain enlightenment and experience realization through meditation and intuition.
A zen garden is also called a Japanese rock garden. A zen garden is a place for reflection, meditation and enlightenment. It is a place to regain calm strength to wisely face the obstacles in life. Having place to rejuvenate is the purpose of a zen garden.
We will explore the design and planning process using the elements and aesthetic qualities of a zen garden are simple and complex at the same time but well worth the effort to enjoy this outdoor space that just keeps giving."

Meditative Movement is a body- mind- spirit approach to fitness and healing. It is a combination of restorative yoga poses, expressive movement and relaxation techniques designed in a progression to create a healing flow of energy using supportive musical tracks. You can learn to trust your body’s intrinsic ability to relax, move and dance.

By releasing muscle and emotional tensions the body can begin to unwind and let go.   You will link breath together with grounding techniques and neutral observing (witness self) to allow the mind to find stillness and decrease censoring, judgment and criticism. You will reflect on your experience with group discussion and find strategies to use when you return home.

Everything is Energy and we look at what increases our energy and what depletes it!  All of the techniques we will experience tonight will help to increase vital energy to release negative energy and decrease the Monkey Mind ( fast rapid non-stop thoughts).

At the end of the day we need time to empty out.  Tonight we will experience some ways to empty out and let go, reflecting on the day.  And send you off to a restful night of sleep!

In this vision board workshop, your job is to focus solely on what you want in your life. Leave behind anything that is holding you back in the present. Even if you've had defeating thoughts of "I don't deserve that" or "I could never accomplish or have that". It's YOUR life and you get to design it. A vision board is a subconscious reminder of everything that you want your life to be. We lose sight of what really makes us happy. How to plan your own "Zen Garden."Very basically, the word "zen" means to meditate, to observe or to see. We will explore the design and planning process using the elements and aesthetic qualities of a zen garden that are both simple and complex.
