High Ropes Challenge
The Heartland Spa and Fitness Resort was the first facility of its kind to offer a High Ropes Challenge Adventure Program. The High Ropes offer a physical and mental challenge that is designed to help you succeed by taking one step at a time. Every step is an accomplishment from putting on a belay harness, to climbing a pole 28 feet high and traversing the triangle of elements to the final platform. From there you can enjoy a panoramic view of our surrounding resort from tree top height before allowing yourself to “let go” and lean forward off the platform, soaring out 200 feet. This one-of-a-kind course was constructed by Experiential Systems, a firm of professional consultants who have designed outdoor challenge programs for an international clientele. The belay system and trained facilitators assure your safety, despite the perceived risk. The outdoor High Ropes Course is offered seasonally, May through October, weather permitting.
