On the heels of Thanksgiving comes the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Chanukah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa are just some of the milestone events that mark the season with messages of faith and family, culture and community. As we celebrate the season in our own ways, the days become longer and we look forward to the time when warmth and strength returns to the earth after a period of rest and recovery.
At the Heartland we have been reflecting on the past 11 months. We've continued to maintain and enhance our physical structure, and over the Holiday Season we will be performing our intensive annual cleaning and maintenance. We have also implemented an upgraded reservation system providing telephone reservations from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, 7 days a week. By the end of the month you will be able to make reservations online 24 hours a day. On the program side, we have introduced a 7 night Fitness Getaway and a 7 night Pampering Boot Camp, both at incredible savings for you. Our car service has been a great success and continues into 2013. The Heartland Loyalty Program rewards you every time you visit. We're introducing an Amtrak Special and the 2 For 1 Special will return for the month of February. For those of you waiting for the Heartland Cookbook, we're just finishing proofreading the latest edition and it should be on the shelves shortly.
High Speed Internet is now available at the Heartland. While we encourage you to de-stress and limit your use of technology during your visit, we realize that this is not always possible. Free Wi-Fi is available in guest rooms in the Manor House. We still ask guests to limit use of cell phones and computers to private spaces, but Tablets are the new books and are welcome in the Wood and White Rooms.
All in all, it's been a great year and we all look forward to even better times in 2013. To those of you who have visited in 2012, we thank you for helping us achieve 29 years of health focused success.
All of us at The Heartland Spa and Fitness Resort wish all of you a wonderful Holiday Season with all the joy and peace that we know you deserve.
