What is your specialty?
As a Holistic Wellness Coach, I help Heartland guests and personal clients to improve their diet, enjoy movement, practice self care, manage stress and live their dreams. Aiding in the discovery of the blocks that hold us back and working through them creates lasting change.
What do you provide for Heartland Retreat guests?
I enjoy sharing my passion for healthy food through cooking demonstrations which emphasize quick and delicious plant based meals. I give talks and lead discussions on various health topics including Healthy After The Heartland (a plethora of healthy eating hacks to use at home), Build Your Immune System, Transitioning to a Plant Based Diet and a Super Food Tasting. Instructing yoga and leading meditation are also part of my toolbox.
Do you have a general philosophy regarding health and healthy eating?
By making healthy food taste scrumptious, we can prevent the feeling that we are missing out, allowing us to make permanent changes to improve our health. Most of today’s health challenges are at least in part a result of how we eat. Following a plant based diet has been shown to have the greatest positive impact on nearly all health conditions.
Those who think they have no time for healthy eating will sooner or later need to find time for illness.

Why do you choose to do this work?
My own health challenges and those of my, at the time 5 year old son, led me to the discovery that taking a natural approach can yield amazing, positive results without any negative side effects. I healed my skin cancer using all natural methods and learned to manage my Hashimoto’s Autoimmune Thyroid condition using diet and lifestyle changes. This led me to becoming a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I find it extremely rewarding to help others become their healthiest, happiest and highest selves.
What are your interests? What do you do with your free time?
I enjoy camping, hiking and kayaking and love my yoga. Foraging and preparing wild foods is great fun. There’s a lot of free, healthy and yummy food out there! I am incessantly studying the newest health information to share with others. I also enjoy concerts in the park.
